It's hot here--Go Feeling Cafe!

The air quality in KL has got everybody here damn bad recently. The haze is "terrific" that it smells like something being "burnt". The heatwave is totally unbearable. Collectively, they make you feel NO like breathing.

Literally, it's driving me out of sanity now. So, what can I resort to for a run away? Please suggest me NO mall and any shopping spots. Yea, as it's mid of year, the sales has got everybody here crazy too. It's very much of a-piece-of-cake job to make you succumb to the marketing means before you. By this, i mean the price cut is superb. For examples, Sales up to 70%, "2nd item at RM1" signs, flat price RM xx, Jusco Day...etc. Obviously this is a golden time to do shopping, but I just have bought myself too many stuffs. So, any idea for heat rejection but mall!

I went again to the Feeling cafe last night. It's friday night which tends to excite me more than the nights of any other days. For the marvelous songs, for the "shimer-in-dark" ambience, for the people, for running away from heat, for killing time, for a gathering with dudes, for meeting up some divas and so on, it's certainly worth better than going to any mamaks nearby.

Yup, it was a blast. Home band remained the same people. However, the floor was brought to a stun by the appearance of a local chinese female artist, 罗忆诗. I didn't know her until last night. Well, she is quite gifted. Her voice is good and can go substantially high and more importantly she composes songs. On top of that, there was a fantastic host popped out from nowhere to help organising a birthday celebration for a group of people. I particularly like his version of birthday song. It's so much of conviction and his intonation is vibrant!

Blessing in disguise

Two days ago, an IT support guy came to me. He wanted to seize my laptop. Not because that I had some big political conspiracies in it--(UPM case?). Not because I keep some "videos-of-interest". But because of that the machine of a finance staff broke down. There's no more spare machine. The company is cutting budget. Purchasing a new machine is like too much of a budget to consider! harrrr.. Well, it's imperative make a machine available to him so that he can resume his works. Therefore, somebody would have to surrender his/her machine. By all means, this somebody would inevitably come from the underprivileged group. Yup, that's me, being the sole intern fellow in the office. Well, I could back up all files but the applications, which bothered me terribly. It's quite of an exhaustive, provocative and frustrating job. Several things need to be checked to make up a good "environment" so that the machine can seamlessly run the program. Erm...perhaps I'm not an IT geek.

Anyway, I got a new machine in addition to 2 X 20'' monitors. This is a much bigger view than than the old combination, which is a 12.1'' laptop screen+ 20" monitor. More importantly, my current machine is a speedor! My old machine used to take me minutes for rebooting and lagged like hell, even when running on Word 2003.

Back to installing software, I've gained a breadth of experience from previous iterative works. And yea, I managed to get one, which used to be the most leceh one fixed! The others are ""on the progress. Pathetic ler...

After all, getting incresed view, faster speed, a chance to brush up installing appliations...Can I call it blessing in disguise? Anyhow, I have to tell myself so...No choice!

The Feeling Cafe

For bidding farewell to a fresh friend who is leaving to Kuching for internship in Quantity Survey thingy, we decided to move the team to a cafe, instead of BRJ mamak, a more than usual hangout ground for the bunch of dead-bored interns here. The cafe, by name Feeling cafe is nothing different than any other "musical" cafes like Station One, Halo, and Hard Rock.

When it comes to "musical" cafe, two things are of particular importance to make up good ambiance for enjoying the F&B along with live songs. Firstly, the interior design+lighting+air conditioning+free smoking zone. Feeling cafe was doing great job in all these. I rate it 7/10. Secondly and more importantly, the live band.

Last night was quite a blast. The live band was fantastic! It's made up of a female vocalist complemented by two guys, one on guitar and the other on keyboard. They both did sing well also. The female really rocked the floor by her sustained high voice. She was almost as good as 信乐团 by the song <死了还要爱>. She rocked this song, not faking her voice, not ran out pitch, and she won so many hands. After knowing that she is pretty much a diva, we started to order big songs and it's so much fun that she sang most of our songs. It's as though I heard "hey man, bring it on" from her. I was thinking that she is like the iTune that plays any songs upon click.

Asides the home band, it's surprisingly topped up by two invited guest singers, (one male one female). The guy who sounds almost like Bon Jovi I repeat, Bon Jovi, presented the songs (I will be there for you, its my life and kenangan terindah). I could identify him as singer from his first speech. Haha...He totally rocked the audience. After that the female brought about sweetening effect to the floor. She is goddamn kawaii. By look, by sound, by smile, she is way better than 杨晨林. She presented the songs <红蜻蜓> & <我是一只小小鸟>. She said that bird peopel sing bird song. Har...Joker type of people.

After all, it's enjoyable!

Damning explanations!

Previously on the "amazing" guy--the houselead! Know more.

Yea, we had an "audience" with him. In me, his mark got slashed well below zero.

He technically gluts the monthly car park rent. However, he had many ridiculous theories to support that how supposedly it is the money be kept by him. He commented that there are many worse houseleads out there. He said like it's as though we are blessed for having him as our houselead and we should be grateful. For me, those nonsense houseleads are like SO WHAT ! I just have to mind my own business. That doesn't concern me a lil. Ain't I right? I can also say there're many houseleads who are doing very well and it most likely happens that the goods outnumber the bads. The point here is say only mar, who doesn't know how to. Arh...perhaps we didn't really know. That's why we were kinda speechless just now. In fact, he overwhelmed us with so many stupid facts which we actually have got no clue to find out whether or not there're such things, how true the things are. All like he said only. I assume all nonsense. All I care is the present tense, not the past tense lor.

He unnecessarily returned us early some amount of money, like RM30 which we earlier on had paid for the master room was left unleased. In fact this money, of the exact amount of money can be returned to us at later date. He claimed that it's all for our own goodness. Well, I totally dun buy this, nor I appreciate his self-thought-to-be kind doing for he had lost my faith.

He asked what for he does so much for us, what for being so calculative, why as an university fellows, can't us help out with the housekeeping thingy, throwing out all sort of complaints about us. Well, all I can say about these is a "repay". He is the one who sparked out these.

He claimed he just wanna make our stay here happy or whatsoever. All are CRAPs. Erm...I really am not sure what're the goods that he brings to us. Well, perhaps all the bad things he did have blindfolded me alr.

And one thing, let's guess what he standard is when he had to use those screwed-up cases to make himself outstanding, as though he is capable to beat up the rest, of bunch of craps.

Now i've learned what good that I get from him. I've learned to orientate myself and deal with this kinda personality next time round. haha...

Not much time to see you around...gonna sayonana...so just chill out for the moment and stay happily together then. Reconciled?

Real masterpiece!

An enormously true email which I received recently!

Here it goes:

The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider Freeways ,
but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness.

We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom.

We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often.

We've learned how to make a living, but not a life. We've added years to life not life to years. We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We conquered outer space but not inner space. We've done larger things, but not better things.

We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We've conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less.

These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships. These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes. These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom. A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete...

Remember; spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever.

Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side.

Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn't cost a cent.

Remember, to say, 'I love you' to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you.

Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again.

Give time to love, give time to speak! And give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind.

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

George Carlin
