Going to prom?

A prom is coming up soon. It's pretty much interesting that it has been one of the hottest topics being debated by the guys here since some time ago. Whether or not to go prom? Who to go with? To buy her fare? List goes on.

Let's look back what's it about prom night? Loosely speaking, it's non other than a gathering/ party for the westerners in their senior years of college life. Their prom can be way wilder and more exciting compared to ours for one very basic reason, with and without booze. You probably can relate to something having watched American Pie but yea, people do lose a bit of conciousness taking in alcohol, when that happens, automatically they become more sporting, more chilled, and all sorts of interesting stuffs can happen. Js like to point out that alcohol can leverage the level of joy.

Prom, as to my point of view, is something like a banquet diner which is supposedly attended by couples/pairs (both the official and unofficial ones). Official couples by its name is straightforward. Unofficial couples would be someone like date for the night. Of course, someone whom you can get along comfortably and blissfully, and it is not necessarily that you have an intent on her. Afterall, I think prom is a casual event for some fun, experience and moments.

Speaking of fun, experience and moment, if you're someone who appreciates life, it would be a must-go event, particularly for the final year fellows. Missing this would possibly mean that you js miss it for the entire of your life.

Well, I certainly don't want to miss out moments in life. Yea, I certainly would like to tag along but things have been complicated here (the surrounding and myself). Clock is ticking every second and my presence becomes diminished thereof.

Heading North - Bk Mertajam (BM)

My oversea trip had "gone boiling soup". To make up for it, I went north to BM with some hometown dudes. Pathetic? Somehow yes but BM isn't that bad. Like the neighbourhood Penang, BM can fairly be claimed as "heaven of delicacies".

Here go some snapshots:

Penang Steamboat buffet- Cheap. Beautiful. Nice.
RM18/pax - So so many choices of food from which to choose. Even SHARK FINS is provided.

St Annes, historical french catholitic church.

At the entrance.

Trek that extends to the statue as captured in the next photo.
I think this photo is marvelous. What u think?

Seeing from some distance, the Statue of Jesus Christ being crucified.

Statue of Mary, Jesus's Mother.

It started to drizzle. So we drove off to next station. Its name is unknown to me. The only clue I have about it is that it's some 20 mins drive from St Annes. I think it's an ideal place for people who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. In fact, it's a popular spot for jungle trekking or evening exercise for the locals.

Tea Spa in the middle of jungle. The atmosphere was moistly.
The air was refreshing. The surrounding is green. Peace prevails.
We got to sip the japanese green tea . It's a total relax and time passed damn fast here.

Dropped by Autocity as well. A place which situates lots of automotive companies, eateries, and goodies shops.

Miniature of The Penang Bridge.

Splendid SOHO eatery. Romantic, isn't it?

The recommendated food around BM:
Cup rice - Kup Bui (hokien)
Yam rice - Yam Bui
Black white people rojak - O bei lang rojak
Shao bao
Egg tart
Advice:
Pls get a local to bring you around. There are a lot more discoveries to be made.

go holidays with Air Asia

There was a matta fair in PWTC two weeks ago. A friend of me dropped me a message in facebook posting about some hot deals offerred by Air Asia. I linked over and was absolutely blown mind off by the advertisement. See here.

Imagine:

Bali -- 3D2N -- Return Flight + Hotel + Breakfast- From RM 209/pax

Hanoi -- 4D3N --Return Flight + Hotel + Breakfast – From RM 279/pax

There were also some other destinations but these two excited me much. Even domestic trips can easily cost alike or even more.
Yet, it's too good to be true. I guess we all know well that advertisement can be tricky at times, or may be most of the times. I called up a friend to help me confirm some details as booking can only be done at the Air Asia booth in Matta fair. It turned out that the promotional package had been out for grab. The actual pricing is RM1000++.

What a hangover! ...

Demolition brings about wellness

The pond, from which I used to get water and treat it into potable water using my ETP prototype - E.Port-700, was being demolished. Back then, which was approximately 8 months ago, the water was pretty much turbid. It seemed to be greenish-clear. However, recently it has become ten times as turbid as it was. The water appears to be dark green and and opaque. Nonetheless, there're fishes in there. Haven't they gotten chocked, have they?

Demolition work underway.

Pool of homeless fishes

Another note, was reading The Star Daily online. For every page i viewed, Shell RON 95 advertisement popped out. As mush as I felt annoyed by it, it actually is a highly effective way to convey message. I believe that SHELL petrol sales might have been boosted to some tenfold. Here again, I hyped about the ads. No wonder, it has always been the top in Fortune 500.

Btw, does RON 95 makes you travel more miles or something?
Is there still Shell V-Power in market?

Personalities around month of 7.5

Full moon is going to show. It's July. Summing up these two will be equivalent to month of 7.5. Orite, get it straight, the Hungry Ghost festival is approaching. I guess this festical applied only to Chinese anywhere alike.

During this period of time, there're three major personalities that I've observed.

1. Of highly supersticious bunch - they tend to link all sorts of bads to the festival itself. For example, car break down, get a minor cut, near-miss accident, defeats, sheer careless mistakes. The festival is so unfortunate to be their scapegoat - they also tend to be insanely imaginative - freak out not only themselves, but the people around them, as they can make hell big a deal out of nothing - of course, they are pretty much horrified all times. Also, they tend to be extra careful (+ve) or paranoid (-ve) during this period. Some even refuse to travel.

2. Of it-doesn't-concern-me bunch - they simply are too scientific and everything should base upon solid proof. If only the real "figure" appears right in front of them, or else they just don't buy it. Might be the case they claim that "figure" an alien or something other than "ghost". They always have peace in mind and soul. Just chill out.

3. Of no stand bunch - They are sort of fluidized, tend to flow and influenced by the people around them. I sort of pity them coz normally the highly supersticious bunch outnumbers the it-doesn't-concern-me bunch. They listen something, then go and imagine something, and eventually have themselves agitated over nothing, erm probably there's something, i dunno. haha...
